Guess who is a lazy bum… me. Well I have been way to busy (sometimes) lately. I think overall I just haven’t really felt like talking. Two Tuesdays past, I had a 14 page paper… my Exegetical Paper… due and that must have taken a lot of words out of me. Well not all that much has really been going on. Today is Good Friday and being that I am going to a Christian school, we have the day off. Quite nice actually and perfectly placed as the activity of the world around me has been draining me dry. Well I guess you are probably wondering what the smack I mean by the title and so we shall forgo the past for now and talk about last night.
It was about 2AM and Joel was in the bathroom getting ready for bed and I was finishing up some projects on my computer to follow suit shortly and head for bed. I started to detect a faint smell in the room and couldn’t quite put my finger on what was going on. After a few minutes with the smell growing, I realized that it was cigarette smoke I was smelling. Well hmm, that is odd. The fact that I am at a Christian school where things like that are explicitly forbidden, something wasn’t right at all. Now there are only 5 people total living in my hall, 4 of which were actually here. Joel and myself… well, no, we don’t smoke. Sam, the RA… agian, not a smoker. I wonder who it could be. Maybe the guy who got busted smoking in his room last year. Well, gee, I wonder, maybe that is him at it again. Seriously, WTF was he thinking. Why would you light up a cigarette in YOUR ROOM? Especially when you were busted for it last semester. I can’t believe how stupid and audacious people are.
So last night was great… falling asleep to the wonderful smell of burnt chemicals and tobacco. Then to make my sleeping experience even better last night… well this morning… the birds kindly woke me up at 10AM by squaking like no other. Thanks again to the tobacco smell left in our room which forced us to open the window so we could breathe.
Now that that information is out, lets talk about the past two weeks. As I said, not a whole lot going on. Tonight is going to be a busy night as I will be moving Silverdale Baptist’s website over to a new content management system. The one they are using was released in September of 2005. They were on revision 15 or something then and now are up to 28… just a little bit of difference. I am so ready to get out of here. Just about 35 days or so left here in Texas, then the road trip back to Seattle will begin. Hopefully this weekend I will get my application done for the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences (www.cras.org), as I would really like to go there next year. We shall see what happens.
Well it is time to get back to work on the SBC upgrade.
Peace-
